This dip is particularly good with fruit.  Try it with strawberries for an elegant, easy and light dessert.  Also try it with a platter of fruit on a buffet table.  Cut cantaloupe and other melons, pears, peaches, kiwi and nectarines are excellent choices.  Add grapes, raspberries and strawberries for a perfect combination of flavors and colors.


1 cup sour cream

2 ounces of cream cheese, softened

1 ounce of blue cheese, crumbled

A scant grating of nutmeg

1 teaspoon sugar, or to taste


Blend all ingredients together well and chill before serving.
