Makes 1, 8 to 9 inch pie shell

Graham cracker pie shells are delicious and easy to make.  Since they require so little baking, and since they may be made in advance, they are perfect candidates as the base for summer desserts designed to get the cook in and out of the kitchen in a hurry.

1½ cups finely ground graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup granulated sugar
6 tablespoons butter, melted

Preheat oven to 375°.  Mix graham cracker crumbs*, sugar and butter together well and press into an 8 to 9 inch pie pan.  Bake in preheated oven for seven to eight minutes.

* It takes 12 to 14 Graham crackers to make one cup of crumbs.
