Who could possible resist grilled prawns dripping with garlic butter? This is a truly delectable party munchie.
The Prawns:
1 pound large prawns, shelled and deveined, tails left on
¼ cup of olive oil
¼ cup white wine
4 to 6 cloves of garlic, finely minced
Put the cleaned prawns in a bowl with the olive oil and garlic. Leave to marinate for at least a hour. When ready to serve, put each onto a short skewer and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Grill or broil to desired degree of doneness, turning once.
The Garlic Butter:
1 cube of butter
8 to 10 cloves of garlic, finely minced
¼ cup finely minced fresh parsley
Melt the butter in a heavy skillet and very gently sauté the garlic in it. Allow the garlic to soften but do not let it brown. Add the parsley, stir to distribute and remove from the heat. Lay the grilled prawns on a serving dish and pour the garlic butter over them.
