Sorry

Going out of town.  No classes scheduled for June.

Check back for July Class schedule

From Scratch Pasta - $45.00

Thursday, May 20th – 6 to 9 p.m.

Making your own pasta is fun and easy whether you own a pasta machine or not, and it’s an excellent family activity.  The other benefit in making your own pasta is; if you can’t eat eggs, you don’t have to put

them in it.  If you can’t have salt, you don’t have to add any.  You don’t eat white flour.  Fine.  Use whole wheat.

In this tasty class we will make handmade pastas both with and without a machine.  You will discover how to make several different shapes, and the sauces to accompany them.  As a bonus, we will also make Gnocchi and Späetzle

Back by Popular Demand

Since we had far more registrations than could be accommodated last month, this class is back.

Heart Felt Foods - $45.00

Friday, May 21 - 6 to 9 p.m.

This class will explore the delectable possibilities of heart friendly dining.  Low fat, low sodium and low cholesterol do not have to go hand in hand with low flavor and desirability.   High fiber does not have to mean munching on a chunk of raw broccoli.   We will explore recipes that are delectable, satisfying and hey, they are good for your heart as well.  The recipes may include the following;

Middle Eastern Dips

Middle Eastern dips that utilize the heart friendly qualities of garlic, peppers and olive oil.

Fresh Tomato and Basal Soup

Garden fresh tomatoes and basal are perfect flavor mates, and they are oh so heart friendly, particularly when a bit of roasted garlic is added.

Pasta al Fresca

Who says you have to give up pasta.  For me that is not a concept I can even vaguely consider.  Pasta is my drug of choice.  This is a delectable dish relying on the delicious and health giving qualities of olive oil, garlic and garden fresh vegetables.

Roasted Garlic and Pepper Fajitas

Who doesn’t love picking up bits of grilled food and wrapping them in a warm tortilla. This heart friendly recipe is as tasty as it is healthy.

Stuffed Fillet of Sole in Wine Sauce

Elegant, absolutely delectable and healthy too?   "That can’t be," you say.  With this recipe total satisfaction knows no guilt.

Garam Masala Vegetable Medley

Based on a classic from India, this dish provides flavors that are exotic, sensuous and truly satisfying, while being kind to your heart.

Grilled Portobello & Roasted Pepper Burger

Here is a heart friendly recipe that will satisfy even the most dedicated carnivore.
