Mushrooms:
I suppose I may have met a few people who didn’t like them. Poor deluded souls. Hobbit or no, mushrooms are a true gift of nature. And how grand that they now so readily available and we have access to so many different verities. When I was a young married and first beginning to cook fresh mushrooms were seldom available. I was lucky. My local grocery store was owned by two Japanese brothers and they got a box of fresh mushrooms in every Friday. Now of course, not only are they available in virtually every market, but you may select from myriad varieties. Check this out to get an idea of the incredibly wide variety of edible mushrooms that are available. Don’t however to expect to find all of them in any one market.
