This recipe can not be considered a traditional Swiss fondue, for chocolate lovers however, it is a guaranteed winner.
1 cup whipping cream
12 ounces simi-sweet chocolate – (chopped bar or chocolate chips)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 to 3 tablespoons favorite liqueur - (Orange Curaçao, Crème de Cacao, Kahlúa, Grand Marnier, Amaretto etc.)
Place the whipping cream and chocolate in a heavy pot and gently heat, whisking all the while, until the chocolate is melted and well blended. Whisk in the vanilla and liqueur and pour into a fondue pot. Keep warm with canned heat or a tea candle. Accompany with washed strawberries and cubes of pound cake. Use fondue forks to dip the fruit and cake into the chocolate mix.
